Foodstuffs’ Own Brands division will be led by a new general manager, Lisa Oldershaw, from April 1.
Oldershaw comes to the role from Foodstuffs North Island, where she is currently New World banner manager. She joined Foodstuffs in July last year from BP Oil NZ, where she was national food and merchandise manager and retail dealer manager.
Beginning her retail career with Tesco in the UK has given her experience with Europe’s “fiercely competitive” private label business.
Foodstuffs North Island chief executive Chris Quin says: ““We had a very competitive recruitment process with several team members stepping up wanting to lead the growth of one of New Zealand’s biggest brand portfolios. It was incredible to see the high calibre of applicants for this role from across our two co-ops and it’s exciting to see our talented team members developing into leadership roles like this; FOBL is a big part of our Foodstuffs business.”
Oldershaw replaces Rod Gibson, who announced his departurefrom the role to become chief executive of Vetcare and Animates in January.
