As the Top Shop Awards reach the last half of nominations, retailers from central North Island have claimed their spaces for the region.
Lower North Island retailers have claimed their spaces as nominees for the 2017 Top Shop Awards, retailers from Wellington, Whanganui and Hawke’s Bay have been named.
As we draw closer to the 2017 Top Shop Awards, the Dunedin, Queenstown and Wanaka retailers have been named as national finalists.
The winner of Top Shop’s first-ever National Pureplay E-tailer award, Toni Barrett, is a web developer with a keen eye for a gap in the market. The category was sponsored by Retail NZ. Barrett recently opened up a bricks and mortar store.
Avantiplus Blenheim has been crowned the overall regional winner for the Upper South Island. Owner and operator Bill Mitchell has been in the retail business for 31 years, but it was only his second go at entering the awards. Upon accepting the accolades, he said
The Z Valley service station in Dunedin has the magic – literally. Its retailer, who is a part-time comedy magician, its staff and its customer base have helped it take out the Top Shop People’s Choice Award for the Lower South Island.
A Napier based florist has won Retail NZ’s Lower North Island People’s Choice Top Shop Award. The shop had the support of the entire Taradale community backing it to get to the awards, including local schools, banks and fellow shops.
Retailers came from as far as Rotorua, Gisborne and Whitianga to attend the Top Shop awards for the Central North Island in Hamilton on Thursday night – and some were rewarded for the trip, including Specsavers, Liquorking and Rebel Sport.
It was a glamorous night out for all celebrating retail’s star performers at Retail NZ’s 2015 Upper North Island Top Shop Awards. The crowd pulled out their best frocks, champagne bottles were popped and tables were adorned with glittering miniature shopping trolleys.
