The New Zealand Police have teamed up with Wellington City Council in an attempt to tackle the increasing problem of theft in the pharmaceutical industry. As part of the initiative, a free event is planned for March to help educate those within the sector with an industry-specific approach.

This builds on 2014’s negative 1.3 percent growth, which happened around the time as the company was transitioning from its former name, Pharmacybrands. Natural health is becoming more mainstream as consumers look for alternatives to pharmaceutical medications. Take the rise in natural health shops around the country, such as Health 2000, which has gone from five stores when it opened in 1993 to almost 80 stores today, or Hardy’s Health, which went from one store in 1986 to 26 today. What’s more, a natural sleep remedy company called SleepDrops won the Westpac Auckland Business Awards’ ‘Best Emerging Business’ award last year.
