Kathmandu makes a comeback with 64 percent profit jump

Kathmandu’s chief executive Xavier Simonet is being credited with a profit turnaround by the retailer. Its annual profit has jumped 64 percent to $33.5 million for the year until July 31, up from $20.4 million the year previous.

Kathmandu officially opened its new home in the heart of Christchurch’s Innovation Precinct today. The head office at 223 Tuam St will house more than 180 staff, with enhanced facilities for the 60 people in the company’s design, systems and online development teams.
