NZME is entering the self-service online vehicle listing market, by allowing people to advertise their vehicles on driven.co.nz. Launched this week, the platform sits alongside listings for dealer-owned vehicles which, includes new and used cars across the country.
German carmarker Volkswagen has this year been rocked by a significant emissions scandal. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found that Volkswagen had installed software in diesel engines which could detect when the engines were undergoing emissions testing and adjust their performance to produce deceptively low results. After the scandal broke in September, Volkswagen's global car sales fell 5.3 percent in October according to CNN Money, but how did New Zealand consumers respond?
