Torpedo7 opens largest store to date

Westgate is the newest location for a very, very, big box store. Torpedo7 has announced the opening of its largest flagship store in Auckland.

Sitting at a spacious 2,300 square metres, the retailer has more than enough space to display its large collection of outdoor adventure gear across bike, snow, water, camping, clothing, moto and fitness.

Located in Westgate, the new store replaces the pop-up site that was located within Westgate shopping centre.

Tim Edwards, CEO for Torpedo7 says Westgate was a natural fit for the flagship location.“Our pop-up store in the same location proved popular and now we’re thrilled to open a permanent store and continue our close relationship with the local community.”

Torpedo7 Westgate store manager, Jessica Keiller says the team is already receiving great feedback on the opening.

“West Auckland doesn’t shy away from adventure and we’re looking forward to giving our customers the chance to experience even more of our gear, coupled with our great range of in-store services. We’d encourage everyone to head in and say hello,” she says.

The new store will employ twenty-seven team members.

Edwards says Westgate is just one of four new Torpedo7 stores set to open across New Zealand this year. Other locations will be announced in the coming months.
