To the delight of its many Kiwi fans, Kmart has sent its ecommerce store live this morning. The company announced its website would soon include an ecommerce component in June 2016, and ever since then, its Facebook page has been inundated with eager consumers following up on the promise.
Kmart’s most committed fans first noticed the site had been taken down for technical work late last night, and speculated that this work might be the hoped-for ecommerce facility.
They were proven correct this morning, and responded with great excitement.
The much-anticipated ecommerce site doesn’t seem to be offering free shipping, and some in-demand items had already sold out by 9.30am this morning.
We predict mass consumer distraction for the rest of today, and a wave of deliveries across New Zealand in two to four days.
