Sylvia Park centre manager Jonathan Douglas says the centre will be opening the doors of the mall at 7am to allow shoppers to line up for the opening of H&M at 10am.
The mall will stay open later until 7pm on the day of H&M’s opening and until 9pm on the day of Zara’s opening.
“We’re looking forward to a successful launch for both H&M and Zara and have been working to ensure the opening days run smoothly for shoppers who are eager to visit,” Douglas said.
Auckland Transport has also increased the volume of trains going to the centre for the next few weeks to ensure the increase in customers is fully serviced.
Shoppers are also being encouraged to use a journey planner on at.govt.nz, particularly over the next two opening weekends.
A recently installed car park guidance system at Sylvia Park will help customers who are planning on driving and parking at the centre.
“Digital signage at key intersections and at car park entrances will indicate available car parks, making it easier to find a car park,” Douglas says.
“You can also look at availability of parking online at sylviapark.org. We are the first shopping centre in Auckland to install a system like this and we’re thrilled it’s ready for what’s set to be some of the busiest weekends of the year.”
Kiwi Property chief executive Chris Gudgeon said the opening of the two stores marks an exciting time for the New Zealand retail market.
“Our shoppers have been waiting patiently for these global brands to arrive and we’re excited they will be experienced first at Sylvia Park.”
