Established in 2012, Laybyland offers more than 10,000 department store products online. Its point of difference from other online aggregator stores is that, as its name suggests, it offers flexible payment plans. Products are listed on the site according to how much they cost per week.
Laybyland CEO Stuart Duff has identified his business as part of a “subscription economy,” positioning it closer to subscription models such as Goodiebox than hire purchase companies like Home Direct.
Duff says Debitsuccess is an important part of Laybyland as it can automate payment processing and follow up on clients as needed.
“Not only does this lessen our workload; it also helps our customers to stay on top of their payments, allowing them to choose a manageable payment plan that suits their individual financial situation.”
Debitsuccess is part of global direct debit billing service Transaction Services Group (TSG).
