New Zealand’s favourite San Francisco-based shoe brand has entered the UK with an interactive and design-savvy flagship store in London’s Covent Garden.

The 150-square-metre store at 121-123 Long Acre was designed in collaboration with London-based experiential marketing agency XYZ.

Opening on October 17, it represents Allbirds’ third bricks and mortar store since the brand was launched in 2016, but with the main focus on ecommerce sales, the stores are not central to its strategy.

The eco-friendly sneaker company serves New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the US online, and the other two flagship stores are located in San Francisco and New York.

It’s expected that a US$50 million funding roundsecured days before the London flagship opened will fuel further international expansion.
