Vice president and managing director of Tiffany & Co. Oceania Glen Schlehuber said the company was very excited to opening its doors in Auckland today.
“The store represents a wonderful opportunity to showcase the excellent quality and craftsmanship of our Tiffany collections and provide new customers with a world-class shopping experience,” he says.
The store is 430 square metres wide and has several different rooms throughout.
The grand entrance room features a hand-leafed chandelier by New York based artist Michelle Oka Doner, while the fine jewellery salon has white stone floors, velvet walls and cerused walnut paneling.
A dark green marble band has also been included in the stone flooring as a reference to the brand's Fifth Avenue flagship in New York, where the same material is used to create the stone floor.
There is also a bridal salon where the Tiffany Setting engagement ring can be found, while the fashion salon has a gallery feel to it and features white lacquer panels, wood flooring and a wall of mirrors and polished metals.
The shop also includes a private sales salon for customers who wish to be more discreet with their purchasing and is crafted to created a luxurious shopping experience.
Auckland is Tiffany's first company-operated store within New Zealand. In total, Tiffany has 311 stores operating in 27 countries, including nine across the ditch in Australia.
