US potato chip brand Pringles has long sported a mascot with a luxuriant moustache - Mr P - and now it's put its money where its mo' is by supporting New Zealand's November Foundation.
The Movember Foundation encourages men to grow out their moustaches in November to raise awareness for mens' health and wellbeing issues. Pringles has this year donated $10,000 to the charity, and will also give away a range of limited-edition apparel to participants.
Pringles says Mr P exemplifies the unique characteristics of moustache-wearers, and is on a mission to inspire Kiwi men to put down the razor and take a ‘mo'ment’ for themselves to check on their health and wellbeing.
Ben O’Brien, Pringles’ spokesperson, says he’s delighted to partner with such a reputable charity that focuses on men’s health issues across the country.
“Men all over the world aren’t talking about their health and wellbeing near enough, particularly here in New Zealand. We’re thrilled to partner with Movember to shed light on these issues and do our part in supporting this great cause,” O’Brien says.
