Vans collaborates with Rains

Vans shoes is no stranger to using collaborations to keep itself in the forefront of consumers’ minds, the shoe brand has announced its latest partnership with Copenhagen–based outerwear brand, Rains.

The outwear specialist is mostly known for its raincoats and other water proof accessories, and has now paired with Vans to base collection which is inspired by the industrial landscape of Copenhagen.

The new shoes include UltraCush TM Vans technology which makes the footwear more lightweight, reflecting the light weight aesthetic of the classic coats. Surprisingly the shoes are not waterproof.

Vans feature iterations of the Old Skool, Sk8-Hi and Classic Slip-On in fresh leathers and earth tones including black, white and green.

The Vans x Rains collection retails from $179.95 to $239.95 and available now at Area 51, Wellington and Vans.com.au

Late last year Vans collaborated with Spitfire in November, another collab came about with Thrasher in May of last year.
