The long-awaited, new Moore Wilson’s store has now opened in Masterton.
Fitted out with a completely redesigned store concept, customers will find foodservice grocery, frozen foods, fresh produce, meat, cheese, speciality ingredients, local artisan products and kitchenware all in the one open plan store.
There are a few surprises installed such as a giant classic kiwi chilly bin, 3m by 6m which houses a walk in produce room, designed by Human Dynamo. A new seating area and garden offers a respite to enjoy a coffee and food from a repurposed container café in the carpark, operated by The Offering from Greytown.
The new building includes 150 solar panels on the north facing sloped roof and new generation CO2 refrigeration systems which also recycle the heat down into the store. An EV charger will be added very soon. It has been designed by Athfield Architects of Wellington, built by the team at MB Brown, LG Engineering and Mckenzie Electrical of Masterton.
The Moore family warmly invite everyone to come and rediscover its unique offering of the best bulk grocery and frozen foods and foodservice essentials.
The new Wine Beer and Spirits store is now under development. In the meantime the temporary pop up store remains to service customers’ wine, beer and spirits requirements.
