Subway opens next-generation restaurant in Waikato

Subway has opened the doors to its latest NZ next generation restaurant located outside of Taupiri, on State Highway 1.

First of its kind in the area, the restaurant welcomes Waikato locals, commuters, and Kiwi travellers to enjoy their freshly made Subway favourites while in a modern dining setting with bright decorations, curated music and comfortable seating.

Subway NZ Country Director Geoff Cockerill says the new Subway is the perfect option for Kiwis who are looking for healthy food while on the run, without having to compromise on taste.

“We’re proud to be serving up fresh, nutritious food at the Taupiri service centre,” he says.

“Convenient dining options have previously been limited along the highway – so we’re proud to be playing a role in making many New Zealanders daily commutes and travel plans a little bit easier when choosing where to eat.”

The next-generation restaurant is part of the company’s continued efforts to transform the guest experience across NZ restaurants in 2021. Subway plans to open 10 next-generation restaurants over the next two months.

“We’re very proud to have expanded our restaurants across New Zealand, with Subway Taupiri committed to offering our busy guests a fresh experience, whether with dine-in, takeaway or online ordering,” says Cockerill.

“If you haven’t been to Subway recently, there’s no better time to visit.”

Subway Taupiri is open for business seven days a week, from 7:00am till 9:30pm.
