Christchurch welcomes Chemist Warehouse to The Palms shopping centre

The Palms shopping centre has announced the arrival of a Chemist Warehouse store this winter, and with a footprint of over 1000m²,  it is set to be the largest Chemist Warehouse inside a shopping centre in New Zealand.

The pharmacy retailer is rapidly expanding, with a current group of 21 stores (including three exisiting stores in Christchurch), which is expected to rise to 30 by the time Chemist Warehouse opens at The Palms in August/September.

Chemist Warehouse NZ CEO, Azman Haroon, says he is excited to bring the brand to The Palms shopping centre, as well as create new jobs within the community.

“We are very pleased to be coming to The Palms and to be able to provide shoppers with even greater access to a fantastic range of fragrance, cosmetics, skincare, vitamins and supplements at the lowest prices,” he says.

“Our free prescription offer will also be available at our The Palms store, meaning New Zealanders will not be charged the $5 prescription fee, a saving we are proud to be able to provide shoppers. Since 2017, we have saved Kiwis over $15 million.”

Keryn Ward, Centre Manager at The Palms Shopping Centre, says the store will be a very popular addition to the mall, with a hugely sought-after retail range and free prescription service.
