The iconic fast food chain Burger King has recently announced it will be undergoing a complete brand makeover, including changes to its logo, food packaging and restaurants.
The revamp will be the first in over 20 years with the aim to show customers that Burger King is a brand that is evolving. Global chief marketing officer of Restaurant Brands International, Fernando Machado, says the team have put in a lot of effort in terms of food quality and experience.
Customers will notice a new logo with a rounded font that mirrors the shape of its burgers and other menu items, as well as the removal of all artificial colours and preservatives from its signature Whopper burgers.
Despite the rebranding, BK’s infamous plastic-faced mascot, the King, won’t be going anywhere.
“We love him the way he is, and he will continue to be weird,” Machado says.
