Michael Hill shares the love this Christmas with a children’s book

Michael Hill and Save the Children Charity have come together to launch a magical Christmas book just in time for the festive season.

Sir Michael Hill, a renowned illustrator, and Emma Mactaggart, an award winning Author, have combined their talents and created ‘Ellie-Mae’s Sparkle’, a book in which a percentage of the proceeds go to Save the Children charity.

The partnership aims to give back to the community and support children and families during these trying times, while aligning with Michael Hill’s ethos and core values.

“We thank each individual who purchases a copy of Ellie-Mae’s Sparkle for helping us support the important work of Save the Children. We hope you love reading this story and that it brings some extra sparkle to you and your loved ones,” says Daniel Bracken, CEO, Michael Hill.

Proceeds from each paperback book sold will support the charity’s work in New Zealand and around the world, including its Covid-19 response. Save the Children has helped provide hygiene and educational resource packs, household essentials, virtual playgroups and online learning sessions, and one-on-one child protection support, including coaching for vulnerable families and mentoring for at-risk young people.

Save the Children CEO, Paul Ronalds, says the charity is on the frontline of the Covid-19 response ensuring they keep children safe during the crisis.

“That’s why we’re delighted to be partnering with Michael Hill to protect a generation of children. Gifting a copy of Ellie-Mae’s Sparkle will assist us in supporting vulnerable communities around the world.”

The book itself is a magical and positive tale, a response to the challenging year that has been and a reminder that a sense of optimism and community can help overcome difficult times.

To purchase Ellie-Mae’s Sparkle, add the item into your cart online through the Michael Hill website or pick it up at one of the Michael Hill stores.
