For all you chocolate fanatics out there, Whittaker’s has knocked it out the park once again with the launch of its delectable Berry Forest block.
Coated with the brand’s iconic Five Roll Refined Creamy Milk Chocolate, the stars of the show got to the inside ingredients including a predominantly cherry-flavoured jube, hints of boysenberry and dark cocoa biscuit pieces.
Co-chief operating officer, Holly Whittaker, says the block was inspired by the decadence of Black Forest Gâteau, which encouraged Whittaker’s to deliver a flavoursome punch through the jube ingredient.
“The jubes in Whittaker’s Berry Forest are made with real cherry and boysenberry fruit concentrate, and you can really taste these delicious fruit flavours, especially the dominant cherry flavour that is the hallmark of our flavour inspiration.”
Taking a permanent spot in Whittaker’s range, Berry Forest will be available in 250g blocks and mini slabs. Advertising will also run through a series of TVCs and will be fronted by renowned chef and chocolate lover, Nigella Lawson.
“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with Nigella again, after a long hiatus caused by changes in our plans and logistical issues from Covid-19 restrictions for most of the year to date.
“As it is, we’ve had to adapt and work remotely with Nigella to produce the creative, which has gone as smoothly as possible thanks to her professionalism and genuine passion for Whittaker’s Chocolate,” says Holly.
Created right here in New Zealand at Whittaker’s factory in Porirua, the bar is another delicious addition to the brand’s successful range.
