Owned and developed by Precinct Properties, Commercial Bay has been in the works since the demolition of the Downtown Shopping Centre in June 2016. It’s slated to open in late March 2020.

“Commercial Bay really is a destination like no other,” says Precinct Properties chief executive Scott Pritchard. “For locals and international visitors, we want to highlight the country’s incredible talent and passion, which is where the creation of Little Queen Street, the part of Commercial Bay that houses most of our local retailers, stemmed from.

“Commercial Bay will offer something for everyone. We have ensured the precinct features a well curated mix of retailers while embracing New Zealand labels that promise to appeal to all shoppers.”
