High-end German appliance manufacturer Miele has appointed Yves Dalcourt to the role of managing director for Miele Australia and New Zealand.
Dalcourt commenced his role in January. Formerly president of Miele in Canada, he joined the company in 2007 as head of sales. In Canada, he played an instrumental role in transforming the entire Canadian business, moving it from a wholesale retail model to Miele Chartered Agent in less than a year.
“Miele holds a strong place in my heart and I’m thrilled to be taking this next step with the company as Miele ANZ’s managing director,” Dalcourt says. “I believe that people and brand are the two most important components of a business and look forward to harnessing the solid foundation built by the Miele ANZ team to continue to bring this to life for our customers.”
“With the beginning of the new decade, I believe it is important to look ahead both personally and professionally. I love to push the limits and encourage others to expand their potential, but I also understand the importance of having a laugh and a bit of fun along the way, which is the approach I will be bringing to the Miele ANZ office every day.”
Miele also appointed a new New Zealand GM, Mark Bateson, in November 2019.
