Krispy Kreme invited Kris Kringle to the party

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme has done it again with their themed donuts. The 2019 Christmas range, named Krispymas, brings designs of a reindeer, snowman, Christmas tree and a steamed pudding.

Introducing a seasonal range of products into retail is a smart way to increase sales over an already busy period.

Creating scarcity and a limited time sales period means consumers get excited and find limited edition goods as a part of the holiday season.

Think pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks or the Cadbury Crème Egg.

The hype around a product only available for a portion of the year is extreme and influences consumers to spend their money because they don’t want to miss out.

Since 2003, Starbuck has reportedly made $1.4 billion from the Pumpkin Spice flavour alone.

Krispy Kreme has introduced a sales period ranging from November 25 – December 26.

This is a short time frame that will generate demand and keep consumers coming back if they can’t source any of the goods their first-time round.

BP connects all over the country will be stocking the steamed pudding and Christmas tree donuts to help spread the Krispymas joy.
