William Papesch will oversee the Auckland based marketing team of Mondelez International in New Zealand. He’s set to manage brands within the local market including Cadbury, Pascall, The Natural Confectionery Company, belVita and Oreo.
Papesch has spent the last nine years with Heineken in various marketing roles in cities across the globe, including Auckland, Tokyo, Sydney, and most recently Singapore. Prior to Heineken, he spent four years with Auckland-based food manufacturer Hansells Food Group. He will start his new role at the end of April.
The move signals an expansion of Mondelez International’s presence in New Zealand as it builds its local sales and marketing teams to support a range of new product launches, partnerships and consumer promotions.
Cara Liebrock, managing director at Mondelēz International New Zealand, says the company employs more than 100 New Zealand staff.
“We also partner with thousands of small, medium and large retailers up and down the country,” says Liebrock. “We are committed to delivering delicious products to Kiwis, just like we have for over 100 years. Building out a diverse and dynamic team will help us continue to deliver on this.”
