As Bayfair’s $115 million expansion enters the end of phase one, beauty palace Mecca Maxima has announced its next location will be within part of the new development.

Set to open early December, the 290 square metre store will be located in Bayfair’s shopping centre. Mecca brands have an easy way of drawing in crowds, and it is likely that the Bayfair location will be no different, expects Mecca’s New Zealand country manager Carly Emery.

“Whilst Mecca’s brands are available nationwide online, we have been looking for the right opportunity to bring our blockbuster beauty experience that is Mecca Maxima to the Bay of Plenty region.”

“We’re very excited to be opening our eleventh New Zealand store and customers can expect some fantastic opening day celebrations.”

The makeup offering will include a host of global brands such as Nars, Hourglass, and Stila, whilst skincare lovers will be able to explore a compelling line-up of brands including Drunk Elephant, Tatcha and Mario Badescu.

Forming part of the centre‘s large-scale development that is set to be completed in late 2019, Mecca Maxima Bayfair will be the brand’s first Bay of Plenty store and the 11th New Zealandwide, joining Mecca spaces in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
