Cashmere label stands up for bully breeds

Designer cashmere label, Elle + Riley, has partnered with Bridge Bully Rescue in order to raise funds and awareness for the charity which supports bully dog breeds.

The collaboration comes in the way of tiny designer dog sweaters, available in red and grey. The sweaters are helping raise awareness surrounding these dog breeds, and how contrary to popular beliefs, they are perfect family dogs.

The Clooney Dog sweater retails at $169 with 100 percent of profit going back to the organisation who rescues neglected puppies from the Auckland area.

Elle Pugh, Co-Founder of Elle + Riley, says the sweaters are a good opportunity to give back to an organisation they respect.

“Being huge animals lovers, we always knew we would launch dog sweaters within the Elle + Riley range. Rosalind Stewart, Co-Founder of Bridge Bully Rescue, was already a customer of ours and it seemed like to perfect opportunity to give back to an organisation we respect and love”

“The organisation is run by two caring individuals in support of abandoned or abused animals. Such selfless behaviour is what we need more of in this world, so anything we could do to help their cause was important to us. We would love nothing more than to see their charity grow”

Bridge Bully Rescue helps break the stigma around these big breeds, showing through love and proper treatment they make perfect family dogs. Bully Bridge has also used its own adoptive puppies as models, with Gus and Peanut presenting the 100 percent cashmere collection.

The collection has launched online and in store.
