EziBuy has been announced as one of Tauranga Crossing’s anchor tenants. The new store will be the first for the brand in four years.
Up and coming retail hub, Tauranga Crossing, is home to EziBuy’s first retail space since 2014. The 800 square-metre space will be its sixth store across the country.
The EziBuy opening will be one of the last for retail tenants of stage one. EziBuy joins other large retailers that came into Tauranga Crossing in stage one, such as Pak’n Save, The Warehouse, and Noel Leeming.
The second stage is expected to be completed April 2019, being one of the largest shopping complex in the Bay of Plenty housing 90 additional retail tenants.
EziBuy was located in Tauranga but closed its doors in 2010.
Ezibuy CEO, Bert van der Velde, says Tauranga’s geographical location was a large draw card for the retailer.
“We have chosen to expand into Tauranga based on its location, our active customer base in the area and the opportunity to be part of a state-of-the-art retail centre in Tauranga.”
“The appeal of Tauranga Crossing for EziBuy is the ample parking, the future state-of-the-art retailer centre appeal once completed for our customers, other amenities in the centre that complement our target consumer, and the attraction of being able to service our current active base and new customers to EziBuy with a presence in the area,” says van der Velde.
