Adult toy store: Grower not a showroom

Ecommerce based Adulttoymegastore has outgrown its current premises. The high demand of adult products has seen the retailer move to a new warehouse 10 times its current size.

Adulttoymegastore, also known as ATMS, is a Wellington-based online adult toy and lingerie retailer that started in 2009 with the vision of providing New Zealanders with access to the best adult toys on the market.

The store has now been moved to a 3,500-square foot warehouse to accommodate the growing demand for their products.

Adulttoymegastore’s head office will remain on Haining Street in Te Aro, Wellington, to cater to a growing team, while warehouse operations will move to its new premise on Dragon Street in Grenada North.

The move is set to begin on 1 August, with the transition expected to take three to four weeks. Adulttoymegastore’s new warehouse will create more job opportunities in Porirua due to its expansion plans.

Janelle Cheesman, content and public relations executive for ATMS, says the exponential growth stems from their stores goal to be the top adult toy retailer in New Zealand.

“The new warehouse is like the tip of the iceberg, with years of hard work hidden underneath.”

Cheesman credits Adulttoymegastore’s constant innovation as part of their success, and their easy user-friendly online shopping as a reason for repeat business.

“We’ve reached a point now where we’ve fulfilled our goal of becoming kiwis’ number one choice for adult toys, so it’s time to expand and take Adulttoymegastore to overseas markets to show the rest of the world that a small business from New Zealand is good enough to compete against the biggest adult toy retailers in the world!”

The store has recently entered the market down under, Australia, with plans to head over to the United States to further their business.

The store has also been nominated for three titles in this year regional Top Shop Awards.
