Otago retail recognised through nominations in regional Top Shop Awards

As we draw closer to the 2017 Top Shop Awards, the Dunedin, Queenstown and Wanaka retailers have been named as national finalists.

More than 600 entries were received nationwide, and through those 10 Otago stores and two Dunedin retail employees were nominated.

The finalists will go on to the gala evening event held in Auckland early September – where overall winners will be announced.

“The Retail NZ Top Shop Awards are all about recognising outstanding retail success, great customer experiences and rewarding innovation,” Greg Harford, Retail NZ’s general manager for public affairs said.

“Retail is a tough business and it requires employees with special skills across a number of areas to be successful.  There’s lots of retail talent in Otago and Southland, and it’s great to see six Dunedin stores being named as national finalists across nine award categories, two Queenstown stores up for five awards between them; and two Wanaka stores have also been recognised for their work.”
