“This is a global retail concept. If you walk into the store in New York or New Zealand you have the same look and feel, it’s welcoming and ‘comfortable’. We are using a lot of wood, for example.
“We want to be able to showcase the full range of product ‘head to toe’ available with a focus on developing our apparel business.
“We chose Shortland Street as the lower part of Queen Street is coming alive again, and it is an area that is respectful of the locations of our retail partners too.
“It’s a great site that grabs your attention with big screens on the mezzanine, as you head up Queen Street.“
The listed company reported consolidated sales of 399,107 million yen at December 31, 2016 – equivalent to more than five billion New Zealand dollars.
