Cotton On enters the homewares game

Fast fashion retailer Cotton On has sashayed into the popular homewares market with the launch of its new range, CO:Home. The range offers a selection of living and gift items, such as bowls, jugs, cushions and vases. It has also priced the range as competitively as its clothing, with over 70 percent of the range available for under NZ$30.

The range is as follows:

  • Living – featuring cushions, throws, vases and paper storage options
  • t

  • Gifting – featuring beach and Turkish towels, candles, mugs as well as wrap and tags
  • t

  • Summer entertaining – a specially designed range of melamine outdoor dining options including platters, bowls and jugs in select new season colours.

Cotton On brand manager Vanessa Ross said the range was ensured to have value and quality at the heart of it.

“We’re really proud of the first collection from CO:Home which is giving our customers the chance to have fun updating their spaces, buying into the latest seasonal trends at an incredible value price point,” she says.

She says if she had to pick a favourite out of the range, it’d be the collection of cushions.

“We’ll have a huge range of different textures including prints and knits in all natural fabrics to ensure a longer lasting, more comfortable product.”

The product range launches in selected Cotton On stores and online from October 31, with prices starting from NZ$6.95.

Cotton On is one of a group of New Zealand retailers taking notice of a ‘nesting’ trend that has emerged with consumers.

Sites like Pinterest and DIY TV programmes like The Block have added fuel to the fire by inspiring consumers to craft beautiful spaces in their own homes.

Brands like The Warehouse, Farmers and Kmart have all leveraged this trend by launching their own aspirational homeware ranges, and it looks as though Cotton On is following suit.
