When one of North Island chain The Tile Depot’s key suppliers began producing a range of bold, eco-friendly wallpapers, the chain saw an opportunity to branch out. The chain has today released its first line of wallpaper into all 14 stores.
The Tile Depot currently stocks tiles, bathware, and laminate flooring.
Mike Syddall, general manager, The Tile Depot, says:
“This is the first time that we’ve ventured in to wallpaper. One of our key tile suppliers, La Fabbrica, began producing it and when we saw it we were immediately taken with the designs. We asked a few local interior designers what they thought of the designs and quickly decided to bring it to the New Zealand market.”
The new wallpapers are Italian-made and use advanced production technology. Their designs range from photo-realistic Lego bricks to finishes which resemble textured stone and stacked logs.
Syddall says the ‘Jungle Fever’ tiger design has had locals in New Plymouth so excited that they’ve been taking selfies in front of it.
