Nick Scali Furniture is one of Australia’s largest importers of high-end furniture, bringing in more than 4,000 containers of furniture each year. It’s been trading in the Australian market for more than 50 years and intends to have a network of around 75 stores across Australia and New Zealand by 2018.
In the annual report released today, it cites a positive outlook and another year of strong profit growth for the next financial year.
“With a strong balance sheet, it is well placed to grow its existing business and take advantage of strategic opportunities.”
It reported a net profit after tax of AUS$26.2 million for the year ended 30 June 2016 – an increase of more than 50 percent on the previous corresponding period. Managing director Anthony Scali attributed this growth to an increase in same-store sales, and the launch of a number of new stores.
Nick Scali Furniture offers loungesuites, occasional chairs, dining tables, buffets and cabinets, TV units, coffee tables and rugs.
