Rawlinson has previously held senior positions within some of New Zealand’s largest listed companies.
She joins Trade Me from a role as chief financial officer of Formica Asia, which she has held since October 2013. Formica Asia is a division of Fletcher Building, at which Rawlinson was general manager of strategy and corporate development prior to her position at Formica Asia. She has also worked at Sealord and PwC.
Trade Me chief executive Jon Macdonald welcomed Rawlinson to the team: “It’s great to have someone of such high calibre joining us. We had the luxury of a very strong shortlist of candidates, but Caroline’s stellar career to date speaks to her unique intellect and drive, and I’m sure she’ll make a strong contribution here.”
Rawlinson praised Trade Me’s innovation and profile.
“Trade Me is one of New Zealand’s most well-known and exciting businesses, with substantial opportunities in front of it – I’m looking forward to joining the team and getting stuck in.”
