Executive officer Rebekah Heal says the site now focuses on a directory which showcases the association’s members on the site. There are three categories – specialist retail suppliers, shopfitters and designers – leading through to a gallery where each member’s logo is displayed. More information about the member is available after the click-through.
Potential clients can also search the directory by area and access guides to help them select the right member.
The RIA’s Red Awards, which promote excellence in retail design, will soon be open for entries. Last year’s supreme winner was Kingston natural health and beauty store, The Tonic Room.
Heal says this year a new category called “Pop-up exhibits” will be introduced, reflecting the growing popularity of these small, temporary stores.
