Retail NZ’s famous Top Shop Retail Awards are back and better than ever. The 2017 awards have been revamped to focus on retailers do, rather than what they sell, and feature new categories such as a customer experience award. All retailers are eligible for entry, not just Retail NZ members.
Michael Ash, owner of Mister Minit’s St Lukes, scooped the Westpac Franchisee of the Year Award at the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards 2016-2017 on November 12. The awards were held at the Grand Millennium hotel in Auckland.
Excited Auckland retailers converged on the Auckland War Memorial Museum for the fifth annual Newmarket Business Awards on Friday. Retailers were well-represented within the awards, including the much-contested People’s Choice award, which was scooped up by Glamour Boutique.
Online entries are now open for the 2016 Red Awards, put on by the Retail Interiors Association to celebrate excellence in design. Judges this year include The Warehouse Group executive Matt Hadley, Scentre Group executive Gabrielle Bevin-Smith, retail marketing expert Juanita Neville-te Rito and celebrity Petra Bagust.
