Placemakers' old headquarters put up to market

Placemakers' headquarters has been put up for sale. The $7.4 million property has been used by Placemakers as a main office site for the last 40 years. The 3392 square metre building sits on 10,498 square metres of land and is spread over eight levels as well as including 166 onsite carparks and three different access points.

The site is located on 150 Marua Rd, Mt Wellington and has an expected CV of 7.4 million according to agent Stephen Scott. The site is being marketed for sale through Bayleys Auckland.

Placemakers paid an annual rent of $645,000 for its 300 staff to work on the area which is zoned for light industry use under the Auckland Unitary Plan.

Scott says the area could easily be converted to an education or healthcare space which are under demand from the growing surrounding residential areas.

"With multiple access points, and a modular style interior layout already replicating a tertiary education facility, the property on Marua Rd could easily be converted into a standalone teaching location."
