Chanel brings the Ritz Paris to Melbourne with the luxury retailers first concept-driven retail experience outside of its Australian boutiques.
For just over four weeks only the retailer is setting up its concept store in Marais Boutique, located in Melbourne, Australia.
As a backdrop for the Paris Cosmopolite 2016/17 Métiers d'art Ready-to-Wear collection, the Marais has been enhanced with bold, blue-toned decor inspired by the interiors of the legendary five-star hotel on Place Vendôme.
The pop-up starts with a neon blue sign and dramatic window displays. The tapestry carpet found in the hotel creeps out of the windows and burgeons up the walls.
Inside, the collection it displayed all around with the same blue hues reflected in the cabinetry and decorations.
The entire 120-square-metre second floor has been transformed into an exclusive Chanel experience awash in the same motif, with navy velvet sofas and indigo cabinetry, punctuated by polished brass finishes and an electric blue pop of LED lights.
An elegant and inspired ode to Parisian style, this season Karl Lagerfeld drew on the hub of Café Society that is the Ritz Paris, a setting in which to see and be seen, long cherished by both the House of CHANEL and its founder Gabrielle Chanel.
Located on Bourke street in Melbourne, the concept store brings the Chanel brand to life with cocktails available instore and a rooftop bar.
The windows of the Chanel Flinders Lane and Chadstone boutiques will also emulate elements of the Ritz to celebrate the pop-up, heralding the arrival of the new collection.
